Jerry the Bulldog, Arkansas Tech University campus ambassador, dropped by the Textbook Brokers location in Russellville at the beginning of the fall 2022 semester.

Arkansas Tech University and Textbook Brokers will enter into a bookstore services contract to serve ATU students, faculty and staff beginning Oct. 1, 2022.

Operating from its location at 1400 N. Arkansas Ave. in Russellville, Textbook Brokers is coordinating with the ATU Office of Student Accounts and the ATU Office of Information Systems to ensure a seamless transition. This will include Textbook Brokers facilitating the return of any rented textbooks at the end of the fall 2022 semester and coordination with ATU faculty members to ensure selected textbooks are available for the spring 2023 semester. Virtual training for the faculty portal will be conducted in September.

In addition to its North Arkansas Avenue location, Textbook Brokers will host pop-up locations on campus on home football game days during the fall semester and at various locations during the spring 2023 semester. ATU and Textbook Brokers will collaborate over the coming months on a plan to identify and renovate a new permanent bookstore space on campus.

The contract between ATU and Textbook Brokers is inclusive of bookstore services on both the Russellville and Ozark campuses of Arkansas Tech.

ATU’s contract with its current bookstore vendor, Barnes and Noble College, will be complete on Sept. 30, 2022. The bookstore inside the W.O. Young Building closed as of Sept. 23. The Young Building is scheduled for demolition during the fall 2022 semester.
